On location in Palawan, production was able to (amazingly) shoot two scenes on a single day (May 29, 2008). What makes it impressive's that these scenes weren’t just run of the mill types.
One scene entailed labyrinthine coordination between three shot angles: one from within the yacht that Bebe Pham was in, the second coming from the chopper, and the third on a hill at a nearby island. Everything had to be well coordinated, well timed.
The trick? They ingeniously used mobile phones to signal one another through phone calls and of course the age-old trusted radio for added coordination.
Amazing film technology utilized here. The chopper cam
can be properly maneuvered and operated by only a handful of people.

Here's a shot from the chopper and the guy on the left uses
that piece of equipment to operate the chopper camera. Neat stuff.

Here is the diving championship scene where Amy wins and is witnessed by the locals -- this, ladies and gents is 'the' first scene of the movie. Don't you just love the power of film editing?
