Deep Gold Live: Underwater Fight Scene

F
ight
scenes are one of those obligatory scenes that’s incorporated in to every major/minor film release and TV shows. The staple method on presenting two opposing forces -- the clash of the plot’s antagonist and protagonist where mostly the story climax occurs.

Such scenes entails numerous sessions of rehearsals to achieve a fail-safe approach. One of them deals with both off-set and on-set rehearsals. The former is where the stunt coordinator demontstrates the scene with body doubles and actors. And at the same time, the director and cameraman studies the best framing angle for the shots as well as the best movement and action for the scene. The latter is more of the same, the difference is, it’ll be done on the actual set piece as the backdrop while the camera rolls.

Bigfoot's water tank in Mactan Cebu

Below, posted production pics shot at the water tank here in Mactan Cebu. The pool was specifically designed for underwater shots, may it be photo shoots or film. If you look closely, pool windows were
strategically placed on various areas of the tank enabling cameramen and photographers take advantage of great views to capture that ‘moment’.
